و هذا الشي اللي أتمناه حسب رأيي ال

هي اكثر طائرة مناسبه للعراق و هي الي تعوض عن ضعف الاف ١٦ بالقتال الجوي في حاله عدم إعطاء صاروخ الامرام للعراق قبل فترة قريت انو الصواريخ البعيدة المدى المستخدمة على طائرات الميك ٣١ واللي يصل مداها ل ٢١٨ كم مقارنه مع ١٣٠ الامرام و هذه الصواريخ يجري تطويرها حاليا لتصبح صالحة للاستخدام على السو ٣٠ ام كي. هذه الصواريخ عندما تجمع مع رادار الايسا المستخدم على السو ٣٠ ام كي ٢ ستجعل من هذه الطائرة طائرة تفوق جوي تتجاوز الطائرات الغربية بمراحل. اما بالنسبة للقدرة على المهارشة فالسو ٣٠ ام كي ٢ تمتلك الجنيحات الأمامية والتي تزيد من قدرة المناورة الهائلة اصلا لهذه المقاتله. اما بالنسبة للبصمة الرادارية فانا اختلف مع الاخ صلاح الدين الي ذكر في مكان اخر بالمنتدى انها عالية. ربما قد يصح هذا مع الميك لكن في حالة السو ٣٠ فالأمر يختلف بسبب طلاء بدن الطائرة بمواد ماصة للأشعة الرادارية اضافة الى وجود اجهزة تشويش متطورة تحييد اهمية رادارات العدو البعيدة المدى

The APG68(v9) radars in Iraq's block 52+ are pretty good. they have the SAR mode for air to ground work which is very important.

but If the Iraqi MiG29M/MiG35 have the new Zhuk-AE with the FGA-35 array it would be far superior to the APG-68(v9).

The latest incarnation of the Zhuk radar family featuring an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA). The radar uses 680 4 channel transceiver modules with a power output of 5 watts per channel. The radar is stated to provide a detection range of 130 km for a head on target with up to 30 targets tracked and 6 of those engaged at any one time. As an AESA the radar is liquid cooled, with each transceiver capable of being switched off to prevent damage from overheating and switched on again when cooled. Two variants of the Zhuk-A exist: the FGA-29, and the follow on FGA-35 which will boast an improved detection range of 200 km with 60 targets tracked, the radar will also support a maximum mapping resolution of 1x1m in air to surface mode. The FGA-35 will feature a 700 mm antenna with an increased number of transmit and receive modules to between 1000-1,100, a 20 degree incline and a peak power of 6 kW.

Su-30 is useful for larger countries where the additional range is important. For the size of Iraq, the MiG29M/MiG35 are adequate... of course a small number of "heavy" fighters would also be useful in the future... maybe Iraqis are waiting for a 5th generation type for a heavy fighter after 2020?

the prices quoted for the planes... $43M means one thing only... MiG29M... of which coincidentally the russians have 24 they just completed for syria that they can't deliver.

we don't know what the equipment levels of the planes are... whether they have AESA/PESA?

Hayder I live in Malaysia n trust me I have driven frm south to north n less than one day n u know that Malaysia is the largest forign su 30mk after India so I don't think it has any thing to do with the size of the country. It simply depends on need n resources as far as I think.

Zhuk-AE with FGA-35 is still under development and it wasnt tested this means if iraq choose to buy Mig-29M/M2 or Mig-35 they will not incorporate this version but the early versions and they are less capable and can not compete with F-16 Block52 + APG-68V9 detection range of 196KM

the earlier Iraqi reference to the $210M unit cost for missile systems also indicates S300PMU2...

I still dont believe that iraq will buy the syrian Mig-29M/M2, further more syria paid for those mig's, what if a new syrian government demanded russia to deliver those mig's?

syria paid for MiG29M aircraft... but since they haven't taken delivery the russians can sell them on. a new syrian government in future can ask for MiG29M aircraft and the russians can build them new ones then.

In an earlier statement acting Iraqi Defense Minister said Russia had agreed to supply Iraq with weapons from its stores, what are these weapons some are stored ? They are likely to be Syrian weapons that have not been delivered.

no... pravda is still speculating... we don't know the real answers. everyone talks about the "value" of the contracts but still no details on the weapons and their specifications.

مايقوله الاخ حيدر مجرد تخمينات ...لم تتضح المعدات والاتفاقية ككل..انا قرات سابقا ان العراق طلب سلحة مضادة للدروع ثم نشرت الصحف اثناء ذهاب المالكي
حول امكانية شراء دبابات ...الخ...ننتظر..ان غد لناظره قريــب

don't forget the russians have 24 MiG29M/M2 built for syria and not delivered. Iraq would want to pick those up...

the main improvement in the MiG35 is the new radar and OLS... they do share the same updated engines, FBW system, construction materials and extended range.

I think this is an Indian MIG 29k the naval version of the MIG 29 being tested in Russia prior to delivery. For reference, see "MIG 29 take off into future" documentary on YouTube.
