Iraq received in 1974 the first batch of 6 boats of the type Osa I missiles boats, and then received 6 other boats of the type Osa II later .Iraqi Navy has become 12 missile boats. They have been involved in the Iraq - Iran war where Iraq lost 3-4 boats in this war. In the Kuwait war destroyed the all remaining boats except the one boat and the remaining one was destroyed in air attacks during the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
