Iraq was received 3 another type of patrol boat in 1962 and that was the form of a quantum leap in the arm of the riverine force. The patrol boats were the class of submarine chaser SO-1 Soviet-made. And Iraq used them for patrol duty in general.

Never thought that we obtained anti-submarine solution before, I am a bit noob regarding Navy so I have a question:

Did Iranians have submarines back then? Did they saw action in the 1980s? how Iraqis countered them? did they score any achievements against them?

And for this ship, how would it sink submarines? does it have torpedos? depth-charges?

no Iran didn't have submarines during the 1980s war. The Shah did have some on order, but of course the islamic revolution stopped their delivery. Iran then bought 3 kilo class submarines from Russia in the 1990s. The kilos however are intended for the arabian sea rather than the gulf.

That's right Iran was n't have submarines at the time of Iraq-Iran war.
These ships SO-1 were equipped with a active sonar system for the purpose of detection of submarines. For the attack submarines and their sink was the main weapons depth bombs. You can see the railroad or depth charge racks for depth bombs and clear in the back of the ship and in addition the missile launcher RBU-1200-(Reaktiwnaja bombometnaja ustonowka)from Ru. Lang.- Rocket depth charge- is a depth bombs fitted with apropelled grenades to extended range to 1200-2000 m.

Iraq used these ships for patrol in general. In the Iraq - Iran war , Iraq used these vessels for early warning of the Iranian navy ships closer to the loading platforms and export of oil Mina al-Bakr, and Alamuya.

Did Iraqis have submarines at the end of 80s war? I remember the last scene of the Iraqi war movie "صخب البحار" which depicts Iraqi sailors receiving new submarine...

No, Iraq never have any submarine may Automotive frogmen chariots or submerged vehicles.
