This type of jet training not belong the Royal Iraqi Air Force because Iraq were acquired in the Republic of Iraq air force era after 1958.

In 1964, Iraq was acquired from Britain 12 aircrafts type Jet Provost T. 52 for training and then was returned raised the number to 20 aircrafts and Iraqi Air Force was received the first plane in 27/08/1964 and carried the ser/No. 600. These were the aircrafts with the College of the Air Force for basic training and armament training and have been for a long time in service until the end of the eighties of the last century.
